DAY 7 | With dense forests, pristine beaches and rocky headlands, Manuel Antonio is the crown jewel of Costa Rica’s national parks. Embark on a guided nature hike this morning and a chance to see indigenous species like monkeys, iguanas and numerous tropical birds. An afternoon expedition by boat reveals the dense vegetation and diverse wildlife of a mangrove estuary. b+l+d

DAY 3 | This morning’s Sky Tram tour offers an aerial view of the rainforest and sweeping vistas of Lake Arenal. At the summit, you can join a guided nature walk along gentle trails. Then discover the small town charms of La Fortuna. Tonight, enjoy a Salsa lesson and dinner. b+l+d
DAY 4 | A guided nature walk along a network of hanging bridges is a great way to learn about the flora and fauna. Visit the Butterfly Garden in Monteverde and check in to El Establo. Dine this evening with Marvin Rockwell, one of the region’s original Quaker settlers. b+l+d
DAY 5 | Learn about the unique ecosystem of the Monteverde Cloud Forest, natural habitat of the Resplendent Quetzal. At the Hummingbird Garden, you can see up to 14 species of these colorful tiny birds. After lunch, visit the Orchid Garden, home to more than 400 varieties of these delicate plants. b+l+d
DAY 6 | Visit the Macaw Sanctuary to see these colorful birds and to learn about the work being done to protect them and other threatened species. Enjoy lunch overlooking the Pacific and continue to Si Como No, our deluxe hillside resort at Manuel Antonio. b+l+d
