DAY 4 | The Aurlandsfjord + Nærøyfjord
By boat, you’ll have
breathtaking 360° views as we take you along the Aurlandsfjord and up the spectacular Nærøyfjord, where steep-sided rock walls rise more than 4,500 from the sea. Behold the iconic Sagfossen Waterfall, a magnificent 2,000-foot cascade and step off in the tiny hamlet of Skjerdal to enjoy the scenic walk to a family-run farm. Learn how they handcraft a variety of artisanal cheeses and sit down to an organic farm-to-table lunch on their terrace high above the fjord. Back in Flåm, you’ll have ample time to enjoy the idyllic setting. meals b+l+d
DAY 5 | By land and water to Solvorn
Reflecting the Vikings’ passion
and skill for building wooden sailing ships, Norway’s stave churches are elaborately carved structures of timber posts and plank walls. This morning at the 12th-century Borgund Church, you’ll discover one of Norway’s finest – with lavishly decorated portals and roof carvings of dragons’ heads. Ride the ferry to the northern shores of Sognefjord, Norway’s longest fjord, and step off in the village of Solvorn for an enchanting 2-night stay at the Walaker Hotel on the very edge of the fjord. meals b+d
DAY 6 | Adventure on the Nigardsbreen Glacier
With expert instruction from
our glacier guide, you’ll set out across the hard blue ice of the Nigardsbreen Glacier to explore ice caves, deep crevasses and towering pinnacles – all the while learning about the forces of nature behind this icy wonder. Before returning to your hotel in Solvorn, you’ll have time to peruse the exhibits of the Breheimsenteret Glacier Center. meals b+d
DAY7 AlongtheSognefjord | by sea to Bergen
Board the express ferry to
Bergen,ajourneythatwilltake you along the entire length of Norway’s longest and deepest fjord! Dotted with remote villages and verdant alpine pastures, the mountains along the Sognefjord rise to more than 5,500 feet – their rugged peaks reflected in the calm lake-like waters. Emerging from the fjord, the cruise continues along the western coast with stops at remote seaside communities that offer a glimpse into local life.
Step off in Bergen and check in
to the Clarion Admiral Hotel on the waterfront. This afternoon, you’ll delve into Bergen’s seafaring Hanseatic history and its lively modern day culture as we guide you on a food tour of local specialties like salmon, reindeer and cheeses. meals b

DAY 8 | Deep into the Hardangerfjord
Embark on one of Europe’s most spectacular coastal drives and discover the scenic majesty of
the Hardangerfjord and its rich heritage. With orchards dating back to the arrival of English monks in the 13th century, the region produces 40% of Norway’s fruit. At the family-run Steinstø Farm, you’ll sample this bounty with a farm-to- table lunch overlooking the fjord. On the way back to Bergen, you’ll see the Steinsdalsfossen Waterfall, one of the most picturesque cascades in Norway. meals b+l
DAY9 Cruiseexcursion | on the Osterfjord
Though barely 17 miles long, the Osterfjord is one of Norway’s most dramatic to explore – with narrow straits of icy water flowing swiftly and strongly between sheer-sided mountains laced with waterfalls! Setting out from Bergen, our skilled captain will even guide
his ship right up to one of these cascades to collect a bucket of ice-cold mountain water for you
to sample. At the end of the fjord, sits the lovely village of Modalen. You’ll be back in Bergen in the early afternoon with the rest of the day to enjoy and explore as you wish. meals b

Discover city landmarks like the 19th-century Royal Palace and
the striking Opera House with its unique marble-embellished roof that slopes directly down to the waterfront. On the leafy Bygdøy Peninsula, you’ll delve into Nordic history at the Viking Ship Museum where important artifacts include two magnificent longboats from the 9th century. meals b
To Myrdal + The DAY3| FlåmRailway
Ascending from sea level to 3,000 feet, this morning’s rail journey brings you to Myrdal, a railway junction inaccessible by road! Transfer here to the Flåm Railway, one of the world’s most scenic train rides. Descending through 20 tunnels and past myriad viewpoints overlooking waterfalls and deep mountain valleys, you’ll journey to the tiny village of Flåm, set at the end of the Aurlandsfjord. Check in to the historic Fretheim Hotel and enjoy a 5-course dinner with beer pairings and fine cuisine inspired by Norse mythology! meals b+d
