DAY 2 | With our expert guide, you’ll explore from Plaza de Mayo to La Boca – the colorful district where the Tango was born. Visit the Evita Museum, set in a lovely mansion which she acquired in 1948. Enjoy dinner and the fiery Tango show at La Ventana. meals b+d
DAY 3 | Mingle with city residents at the San Telmo Antique Fair, with more than 250 vendors and impromptu performances of tango and theater. Then visit Zanjon de Granados, an unusual subterranean architectural site. b
DAY 4 | Fly to Iguassu and transfer to the 5-star Das Cataratas, the only hotel inside Brazil’s Iguassu National Park. Explore along the Park’s trails with our expert naturalist guide and thrill to captivating views over the Falls. b
DAY 5 | Set out with our expert guide for a full- day tour focusing on all the best vantage points on the Argentine side of Iguassu Falls including the famed Devil’s Throat Cataract. b
DAY 6 | After breakfast you’ll be taken to the airport for your nonstop flight to Rio de Janeiro. On arrival, you’ll be met and escorted to the Belmond Copacabana Palace. Retreat to your luxurious oceanview room. b
DAY 7 | Visit the Sambodromo where Samba schools compete during Carnival and tour the Metropolitan Cathedral, with its soaring stained glass windows. A 2-stage cable car takes you up Sugarloaf Mountain for views over city, mountain and sea. Then ascend Mt. Corcovado to behold the 100-foot tall statue of Christ the Redeemer and enjoy 360° views over Rio. For lunch, savor Brazilian barbecue at a local churrascaria. b+l
