DAY 5 | Untouched villages of Pelion As in ancient times, the hills of Pelion are
deeply forested with chestnut, beech, olive and fruit groves. Its villages, too, exude
a timeless air and you’ll spend this day immersed in their charms. Take in the views from Makrinitsa, perched on a hillside, and admire the fine mosaics of the 18th-century church in Kissos. In Vyzitsa, the women
of the village will prepare a traditional

DAY 6 | The ancient sites of Volos Descending to the shores of the Pagasetic
Gulf, you’ll explore the archaeological sites that surround the lively port of Volos. The region is steeped in myth including the ancient Mycenaean city of Iolkos, famed
as the birthplace of Jason, the leader of the Argonauts who ventured to the Black Sea to secure the Golden Fleece. See the Neolithic remains at Dimini and the ancient basilicas at Nea Anchialos, one of Greece’s most important early Christian sites. After lunch, tour the Archaeological Museum. meals b+l
DAY 7 | Across the seas to Skopelos Travel across the blue waters of the Pagasetic Gulf and into the Aegean Sea to the idyllic island of Skopelos where you’ll check in to the Adrina Resort. meals b+l
DAY 8 | An idyllic Greek island
If there’s a bit of déjà vu to the photogenic
town of Chora and the way it climbs the hills above the harbor, perhaps it’s because you recognize it from the hit movie Mama Mia. But without the film crews and celebrities, it’s a timeless and idyllic place, filled with ancient frescoed churches which you’ll visit this morning. You’ll also tour the folklore museum and a 17th-century nunnery set
on a hill amidst the virgin pine forests. The afternoon is free so you can simply enjoy Skopelos on your own. meals b
DAY 9 | A day on Alonissos
Off the tourist path, Alonissos is a magical place to spend some time – blessed with
a rugged natural beauty and surrounded by small picturesque islets. With a private chartered boat, we’ll take you there for lunch and time to explore this evocative hilltop village. meals b+l
DAY 1 0 | By ferry to Skiathos
Enjoy a leisurely morning on Skopelos. At midday, we take you to the pier to board the ferry to Skiathos, a sophisticated island with abundant history, charm and beauty. Enjoy two nights at the Kassandra Resort. meals b
