DAY 6 | Tsarskoye Selo
Travel to Tsarskoye Selo for a guided
tour of the Catherine Palace; the famed Amber Room offers a tantalizing glimpse into the lavish life of the Tsars. By special arrangement, visit the amber studio where
skilled craftsmen turn this 40-million-year- old stone into works of art. For lunch, we’ll take you to Podvorye, set in a log home and famed for its fine Russian cuisine. meals b+l
DAY 7 | The Peterhof
Without fewer visitors, our special early-
opening entry at The Peterhof promises an unforgettable tour of Peter the Great’s resplendent summer estate. Marvel at
the lavishly landscaped grounds and the magnificent grand cascades which flow from mid May to September. Back in the city, we’ve arranged a private tour of the Shuvalov Palace. Its grand interior, once the site of glittering Imperial balls, is now home to the world’s largest collection of works by Carl Fabergé, including nine of his famous Imperial Easter Eggs. This evening at the Grand Hotel, you can raise a toast to your fellow travelers as you enjoy a wonderful farewell dinner. meals b+d
