DAY 4 | First on the Crater floor
With its open grassland surrounded by steep cliffs, Ngorongoro Crater is easy for game officials to patrol: The result is abundant wildlife including rare species like black rhino and cheetah. Our camp enjoys a prime location by the Lemala Crater Access Route and you’ll descend quickly this morning for a game drive before other visitors have arrived on the crater floor. meals b+l+d
DAY 5 | Into the Serengeti
At Olduvai Gorge, learn about the passions that drove Louis and Mary Leakey to their fossil discoveries. Continue your journey into the Serengeti , unequaled for its beauty and wildlife – including the Big 5 as well as numerous other herbivores and their fierce predators. DAY 6 | By hot air balloon
Animals, too, have their routines and this morning’s hot air balloon safari at dawn
is an amazing time to gaze down as the wildlife greets another day. Touch down
for a champagne breakfast and a morning game drive. Back at camp, you’ll have ample time to relax. A late afternoon safari drive
promises more encounters with the wide variety of primates, birds, horned bovines, wild dogs, ungulates and big cats that roam the Serengeti. meals b+l+d
DAY 7 | Following the big game Enjoy a morning safari drive as you make
your way into the more remote reaches of the Serengeti. Depending upon the season, we take you to either Lemala Ndutu or Lemala Mara. With animals constantly on the move in the inexorable quest for food and water, your camp’s setting affords unmatched game viewing at any time of year. DAY 8 | Serengeti National Park
Join our safari guide for another day of heart-
pounding morning and afternoon game drives. As dusk descends, enjoy Sundowner cocktails and a candle-lit dinner under the darkening sky. meals b+l+d
DAY 9 | Return to Arusha
Fly to Arusha for lunch at Shanga River
