RATES
Prices are land only and do not include international airfare to or from the US. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors, and prices are subject to change without notice. On-tour transportation is included as indicated on each program. Prices are guaranteed upon receipt of deposit. Single rates on private tours are based on a minimum of
2 travelers travelling together. Single travelling alone rates will be higher.
Rates on private and independent journeys may vary due to trade fairs, festivals and holidays.
We can book international air for you at an additional cost. If you purchase international airfare, airline taxes, fuel surcharges and government-imposed fees are included; baggage check and seat assignments may cost extra. For information on baggage and seat fees please visit your airline’s website. Within Africa, lower baggage limits apply. Seat assignments are not available on all airlines and are subject to fees and change without notice. Flight schedules and aircraft may change without notice. TSA Pre and Online check in are at the discretion of the airline and cannot be guaranteed. Foreign departure taxes cannot always be prepaid and may be charged at the airport upon departure.
Gratuities for trip leaders, ship staff, guides and drivers are not included unless indicated and are at your discretion.
GUEST INFORMATION
TSA requires passengers to provide first and last name exactly as it appears on their passport as well as date of birth and gender at the time of booking. Change fees will apply if your airline ticket must be adjusted to match the first and last name in your passport. Your passport number and its date and place of issue may be required for certain tours. Documents are sent 21 days prior to departure
and cannot be released until full payment and Guest Information have been received.
VISA & PASSPORT INFORMATION
Your passport must be valid for 6 months after your return to the US. It is each traveler’s responsibility to obtain
any required visas. We are not responsible for delayed processing of visas and passports by Consular offices and normal cancellation charges will apply.
Visas and entry requirements can change without notice. Please check our website for up-to-date visa requirements. At the time of printing, visas are required for US citizens travelling to Australia, Brazil, China, Ethiopia, India, Jordan, Kenya, Myanmar, Russia, Tanzania, Uzbekistan, and Uganda and should be secured prior to travel.
Visas are required for US citizens travelling to Bolivia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Dubai, Egypt, Indonesia, Laos, Namibia, Nepal, Oman, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, and may be secured upon arrival. Tibet and Bhutan visas are included in your tour costs and secured by Alexander+Roberts. Cuba visas are $99 and secured by Alexander+Roberts. South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, and Ethiopia require 2 facing and completely blank visa pages in your passport at the time of entry. Please consult our website for complete details.
DEPOSIT
A deposit of $400/person ($600/person for Galapagos, Africa, Ocean Atlantic cruises and Belmond Andean Explorer and $1,500/person for Antarctica, Botswana, Finland’s Lapland, Japan In-Style, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Rovos Rail, Rwanda, and Uganda) is due within 7 days of booking. Custom travel arrangements require a 20% deposit.
FINAL PAYMENT
Final payment is due 90 days prior to travel with exceptions: Galapagos, Belmond Andean Explorer, Antarctica, Finland’s Lapland, Japan In-Style, New Zealand, Ocean Atlantic cruises, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Rovos Rail, Rwanda, Uganda and Custom programs require full payment at 120 days prior to travel. Reservations made within the final payment date of travel require full payment and passport information at time of booking.

CANCELLATIONS & CHANGES
Cancellations for Antarctica, Botswana, Finland’s Lapland, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Rovos Rail, Rwanda and Uganda
are subject to penalties of $1,500/person plus airline cancellation penalties up to 121 days, 50% of program price plus airline cancellation penalties up to 91 days, and 100% of program price if canceled later than 90 days. Cancellations for Africa programs (except Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Rovos Rail, Rwanda and Uganda)
are subject to penalties of $600/person plus airline cancellation penalties up to 91 days, 50% of program price up to 61 days, and 100% of program price if cancelled later than 60 days prior to travel.
Cancellations for Galapagos programs, Ocean Atlantic cruises and the Belmond Andean Explorer are subject
to penalties of $600/person plus airline cancellation penalties up to 121 days, 50% of program price plus airline cancellation penalties up to 91 days, and 100% of program price if canceled later than 90 days.
Custom programs are subject to penalties of 20% plus airline cancellation penalties up to 121 days, 50% of program price plus airline cancellation penalties up to 91 days, and 100% of program price plus airline cancellation penalties if canceled later than 90 days prior to travel. Cancellations for all other programs are subject to penalties of $400/person plus airline cancellation penalties up to
91 days, 50% of program price plus airline cancellation penalties up to 61 days, and 100% of program price if cancelled later than 60 days.

A minimum $50 fee will be charged for any change
made to your itinerary. Changes are considered canceled services and additional cancellation penalties may apply. Changes are subject to additional airline or hotel charges based on availability and may incur airline-imposed fees. Changes from double to single occupancy incur a single supplement.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any departure for any reason. If we cancel, we will offer alternate arrangements or refund the amount received. We cannot assume responsibility for any additional costs or any fees relating to air tickets or other travel arrangements not made by us.
A minimum of 2 passengers is needed for a guaranteed departure to travel. Our small groups travel with no more than 16 travelers on land programs except for Undiscovered Cuba which has not more than 24 guests. Our small ships carry 48-202 passengers; more than 16 Alexander+Roberts guests may be on-board; more than 16 travelers may be on shore excursions.
CHANGES TO OUR PROGRAMS
We will make every effort to operate tours as disclosed
in this brochure, but circumstances beyond our control may arise which require modification of itineraries, hotel substitution, changes in transportation, inclusions or
staff accompanying the trip. We reserve the right to make modifications. Because waterways can be affected by weather conditions, alternate programs may be arranged by the cruise companies without notice. Normal cancellation penalties still apply to the program that has been changed.
ON TOUR TRAVELS
There is no smoking on any transportation. Disabilities requiring special attention must be reported when
making reservations. We will make reasonable attempts to accommodate special needs but cannot provide individual assistance. Tours require walking over uneven surfaces and you assume responsibility for your personal safety. Should issues become apparent on tour that impact other travelers, we may require individual assistance be obtained or require the traveler to return home early. Any expenses for assistance or early return will be the responsibility of the traveler without refund for unused services. Activities, lodges, and camps may require a signed liability waiver. We are not responsible for any denial of services by carriers, hotels, and other independent suppliers.
RESPONSIBILITY
Alexander+Roberts packages and operates these programs solely as an independent contractor. The tour services described in this brochure, including without limitation transportation, lodging, and sightseeing, are provided by the carrier, hoteliers, and other suppliers that are independent contractors and not our agents, employees, partners, or joint venturers. We issue tickets, vouchers, and other travel documents for such services merely as an agent for the companies that furnish such services. Such tickets, vouchers, and other travel documents are subject to all terms and conditions of the respective suppliers (some of them may limit or exclude the supplier’s liability). We are not responsible for any loss of or damage to property or death or injury to persons, resulting from any act or omission of any supplier providing any tour service or any other person or entity or caused by strike, war, weather, quarantine, sickness, government restriction or regulation, or any other cause beyond its reasonable control, including supplier’s decision to withdraw and/or cancel a tour for any reason. The tour participant expressly waives all rights, which he or she may have against us in connection with the foregoing. Under no circumstances are we to be construed as a carrier under contract for safe carriage of the passenger or his or her baggage and belongings. We reserve the right to remove a client from a tour at our sole discretion.
All matters concerning these tours and services shall be governed by, and administered and interpreted according to the laws of the State of New Hampshire (without regard to conflicts of laws principles). Any unresolved dispute or controversy arising under or in connection with the services we provide shall be settled exclusively by arbitration, conducted before the American Arbitration Association
in Boston, Massachusetts, in accordance with the rules
of that body then in effect. In addition, the arbitrator and not any federal, state, or local court or agency shall have exclusive authority to resolve any dispute relating to the interpretation, applicability, enforceability, conscionability, or formation of this contract, including but not limited to a claim that all or any part of this contract is void or voidable. The arbitrator shall not have the authority to add to, detract from, or modify any provision hereof nor to award punitive damages to any injured party. A decision by the arbitrator shall be final and binding. Judgment may be entered on
the arbitrator’s award in any court having jurisdiction.
Each party shall be responsible for the respective fees and expenses of their legal representation and the costs of arbitration shall be shared equally.
Legal proceedings against us may be instituted only in a state or federal court within the State of New Hampshire, and any claim involved in such proceedings shall be decided in accordance with the laws of the State of New Hampshire. Any legal proceeding against us must be commenced within one year following the date of tour completion. Neither Alexander+Roberts nor any affiliate shall in any case be liable for other than compensatory damages, and you hereby waive any right to punitive damages.
UNITED STATES TOUR OPERATORS ASSOCIATION $1 MILLION TRAVELERS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Alexander+Roberts, as an Active Member of USTOA, is required to post $1 Million with USTOA to be used to reimburse, in
accordance with the terms and conditions of the USTOA $1 Million Travelers Assistance Program, the advance payments of Alexander+Roberts customers in the unlikely event of Alexander+Roberts bankruptcy, insolvency or cessation of business. Further, you should understand that the $1 Million posted by Alexander+Roberts may be sufficient to provide only a partial recovery of the advance payments received by Alexander+Roberts.
